John and I discovered our mutual fondess for port quite recently, and I'd wager that you'd probably enjoy it, too. We were lucky enough to taste some experimenting with this cocktail a few weeks ago and I've been thinking about it ever since!
Orgeat Punch
1 1/2 oz rye
1 oz port
1 oz orgeat
3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
orange bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice; shake for 5-10 seconds, then pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with fresh berries.
Notes: You can substitute brandy in this cocktail for a richer sipper, although I like the street cred that ordering a rye drink affords me. Cheers!
