Really, I can't imagine why more couples don't elope, then throw a gorgeous fête, too! It's the best of both worlds, don't you think? Tell me, would you ever go for double, or do you think a wedding is one-time only?
Photos by Ben Chrisman–thank you for sharing them, Davina and Daniel!
eloping is definitely a huge money saver... haha! very very romantic photos!
ReplyDeleteDarling! What an adorable couple and sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous couple and so very in love! This is such a beautiful wedding in its own way.
ReplyDeleteahh! she looks just like audrey :)
ReplyDeleteThis just reminds me that a large, extravagant wedding isn't the only romantic way to get hitched. When I think about my future wedding, sometimes I picture just eloping and having a small garden reception for friends and family back home. But then again, that's just one idea! I have way too many floating around in my head.
ReplyDeleteWow. Love the vintage look here. So Audrey! :)
ReplyDeleteThose last few photos are SO beautiful and romantic!
ReplyDeleteI love when we get to see the classy side of Vegas. And her hair is amazing!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like Audrey Hepburn. Such a romantic post, I think!
ReplyDeleteI love these!! We thought about eloping and then throwing a big party at home... but in the end I really wanted my family (especially my mom -- we're close) there for the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteevery bride thinks about eloping at some point, don't they? :)
ReplyDeleteDr. J and I got married just down the street from that cute little chapel.
ReplyDeletethese are ridiculously cool!
ReplyDeleteI adore her style!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are fantastic! They capture Vegas and the couple so perfectly. Hubby wanted a Vegas wedding initially but I wanted my childhood church so we compromised and did a 5 year vowel renewal in Vegas with Elvis - it was hysterical! Love the idea of a double, the actual wedding would be so romantic with just the 2 of you then party it everyone up later!
ReplyDeletesuch a cool old world vibe.
ReplyDeleteThese are exceptionally gorgeous photos. So perfectly framed for the era it evokes!
ReplyDeletethey are the cutest! and they were our wedding photographers and are the sweetest couple. I definitely would have eloped but andreas would not have it. he is an old fashioned romantic :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures. Absolute perfection!!

Right up my retro loving alley! How cute is her updo? {Hi Lena!!}
ReplyDeleteAhh, I love Davina & Daniel! Davina kept a wedding blog for a bit while planning their Mexico wedding earlier this year (with totally insane photos, as I'm sure you've seen) and it was one of my favorites. They are so ridiculously talented, not to mention photogenic and stylish!
ReplyDeleteOooh! I love Vegas so much! I love the Bellagio fountain!! Next time hubby & I go to Vegas we will probably renew our vows there!!

I could never elope, but seriously, this couple is gorgeous/insanely stylish/adorable! Not to mention this photography is spot on perfect...love it!
ReplyDeletewhat an amazingly cool wedding. The shots are amazing and the whole idea is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! Love the nighttime shots!
ReplyDeleteLove it. And I kinda wish we had eloped and then just thrown a backyard party for our family & friends. Although, I'm not sure people would have traveled all the way from CA to Chicago for a "party." A wedding is much more motivating. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! My husband and I eloped in Jerusalem. We just googled English-speaking churches, Skyped with the minister of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, hopped on a plane and went! I wrote our vows on the plane, and we were married in one of the most amazing cities with only the minister, his assistant, and a friend taking photos. For our honeymoon we took a bus to the south of Israel to Eliat and dipped our feet in the Red Sea and drank tea...I recommend eloping to everyone!
ReplyDeleteUm, I am totes in love with this! They are such a photogenic couple. Adore it all! xo
ReplyDeleteI would go for a double! Especially since we married before our actual wedding. I wish I would've done it up though and hired a photog!
ReplyDeleteAre you doing both? What's the plan??
Such a stylish couple!!! Love her hair due!!!
ReplyDeleteObviously, I'm a fan. Something about a quintessential Vegas elopement is SO romantic, though I must say, I'm loyal to NYC's municipal building ;)
ReplyDeletei LOVE these photos! the various silhouettes make my heart smile.

I absolutely adore all these pictures! Davina and Daniel really had a gorgeous and romantic wedding in the City of Lights! Congratulations to them! They got married in the Little White Chapel? wow...This is definitely one of the most beautiful Las Vegas wedding chapels! Viva Las Vegas!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! I love LOVE her hair!!
ReplyDeleteCompletely adorable and bad ass at the same time.
