"I drink Champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it when I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it–unless I'm thirsty."–Madame Lilly Bollinger Photo by

Tell me, darlings, when do you drink Champagne? I particularly love drinking it with girlfriends–John just doesn't get as excited about bubbly as I do!
Love Champagne! A bottle is always chilling in my fridge for any & every celebration! Cheers!
ReplyDeletemmmm, champagne. There's nothing better than popping open a bottle to celebrate :) Happy Weekend!

Oh, amen to this! Viva champagne!
ReplyDeleteI drink champagne with cake, as a special treat (one time I did this a few months after I filed for a divorce, while wearing my wedding dress, and then I cut up the dress into a Halloween costume. LOL!) And I drink it with a good Sunday brunch.. but my favorite time to drink it is with oysters. :]
ReplyDeleteOh my... us girls drink it for every occasion or no occasion at all.
ReplyDeleteUm. How about always? I love champagne!
ReplyDeleteyum! i love champagne, and yes i agree i usually save it for when im with the girls. and of course on NYE. have a lovely weekend! xoxo jillian:: cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI cant drink it with out having a headache :/ bummer. but it is very pretty to look at in the glass :)
ReplyDeleteI must say I do appreciate a good mimosa over brunch! and definitely with the girls- so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love any excuse for champagne :)
ReplyDeleteum - anytime i can?? ;)
ReplyDeletealso one of my favorite quotes from Dom Pérignon: "come quickly, i am tasting the stars" the moment he tasted his first batch of champagne
If it's available..I drink it. I don't wait for a special occasion. Life is too short. So we have it on a Wednesday night just because!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that quote! Kyle and I drank some last night whilst watching Big Love. So I am pretty much game to drink it whenever and since it is generally reserved for celebrations, I feel like drinking it on a normal day makes it a little more exciting.
ReplyDeleteCheers to this! Champagne is always in style. We have a bottle chilling for any fun occasion! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! I feel the same way, Champagne is good anytime every time
ReplyDeleteGirlfriends...yes! The best to celebrate engagements, weddings...etc! :)

okay you're going to laugh--the chef and i were just friends for many years. i was dating someone else for many of those years and he was at culinary school in ny.
ReplyDeletehe comes back, has been back for a few years, i'm single and neither of us has anyone to go to church with so i have a mutual friend who mentions to him, 'hey can she go with you?' so fine he says yes and we pick a meeting point, i hop in and we church it for a couple months.
one sunday i say okay let's go for brunch, my treat b/c you always drive so we go for brunch and he orders a bottle of champagne.
NO JOKES. can you say tossed after church??
the best thing to celebrate... i had in on sorbet once and it was absolutely delicious... enjoy the weekend!!!
ReplyDeletehaha, when I read the title I thought to myself, when is there a time to NOT drink champagne? ;)
ReplyDeleteI was keeping a bottle cold in the fridge for celebrating, but everyone just kept telling me they were pregnant and I ended up celebrating alone ;)
ReplyDeleteHow funny, I was just at the grocery store this evening and passed a champagne display and was sooo close to buying myself a bottle, just because! I think champagne is my favorite drink. I drink it at weddings/events when it's available and on special occasions, but most notably at the big holiday dessert & champagne party my family throws every year. It's one of the few drinks I could stick with all night and be fit as a fiddle the next morning :)
ReplyDeleteI drink champagne with YOU! And mimosas with brunch, of course. And the first night in our new house :)
ReplyDeleteI adore Champagne. I love drinking pink champagne in the evening with a fantastic dessert or I will drink a light bubbly mixed with OJ & paired with Sunday brunch. LOVE. Happy weekend. xx veronika
ReplyDeleteI just love that quote by Madame Lilly Bollinger :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI don't drink alcohol, but I do drink sparkling cider. And I drink it whenever I want to remember the moment I'm in.
ReplyDeleteAhahahahaha! I love this quote! How marvelous!

ReplyDeleteoh boy have I missed you. I wish I had a glass of bubbly to drink tonight!

ReplyDeletethe greatest celebratory drink!!
ReplyDeleteLet's see I drink champagne as often as I can...I actually had three glasses today...just because life tickled my fancy and I wanted to tickle it right back :-) I hope you had a great weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you that boys just don't get as excited as us girls do about these kinds of things. I love a little bubbly with breakfast, with lunch, with dinner, with dessert, with a manicure, with so many different things :) Xo
ReplyDeleteLove this! Our house is full of champagne right now because we are so recently engaged, and I keep thinking we need the right moment to drink it... but I suppose the right moment is right now!
ReplyDeletewhat a great quote!!
ReplyDeletei can't help drinking champagne whenever i have beautiful fruit around the house, they always seem like they were made for each other :]
I consider a weekend a slight failure is I don't drink champagne at least once :)
ReplyDeleteI never touch the stuff unless I am thirsty too! ;) Amazing quote! I love the bubbly! Just like it is always 5 o'clock somewhere, there is always a reason to celebrate! xo Samantha
ReplyDeleteLately, I drink champagne when DH and I have a babysitter and a night out! I find that a prosecco or champagne evening makes me *tres* happy!
