Absolutely everything about this photo delights me-the classic car and traditional send off, the dreamy light, the dirt road and the fields of summer corn. Growing up on preserved farm land, some of my happiest memories from youthful summers include playing hide-and-seek on afternoons just like this one.

Did you play in the mud as a kid, or were your days spent in more refined settings?

Great picture :)
ReplyDeleteThis indeed is a pretty awesome photo and does invoke great memories for me, although I didn't grow up on farmland. I definitely played in mud with my brother, he tried to make me a boy every chance he had and sometimes it worked but sometimes it didn't!
ReplyDeleteAw, that car is awesome! I used to have a dirt pile in our backyard that I would just love to play in! I wasn't much of a tomboy, but I inexplicably loved dirt.
ReplyDeletehi! the car looks a litttle bit like polish "syrenka" or "warszawa" (oldtimers;)
ReplyDeletevery nice shot!

Really great photos- I love the country and spent plenty of mud time as a kid- now with two monkeys I'm back in the mud.
