No 297: Real Wedding: Cara and James

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

This sun-drenched afternoon celebration is so charming, I could melt. It seems that the Dora has a particular affinity for lemon yellow affairs (or perhaps it's the bride the Dora attracts?), but so far, not a one has suffered the fate of cloying juvenilia. The Juntunen Farm and Gardens were the ideal setting for lawn games and lemonade, and the food, which look stunning and the gelato cart (provided by Ciao Thyme and Poco Carretto Gelato, respectively) kept the focus on fun and off a big, sit-down dinner. But by far the most delightful element of the wedding (besides the Dora, which of course is perfection personified) was the HAirstream trailer. It provided Heather of One Love Photography with some of the most unique "getting ready" photographs in the world of weddings (but can we please find a better name for these pictures?).

Besides, the fact that the bride shares my dearest friend's name never hurts.
