Haley & Riley

When your parents own a beautiful Mill Valley home overlooking majestic Mt. Tam, it's hard to imagine tying the knot any place else. Haley and Riley were thrilled when her parents agreed to host their nuptials, and relied on a team of vendors led by Estera Events to turn the lovely yard into a elegant garden venue for 165 dinner guests.

In her childhood bedroom, Haley donned a romantic Monique Lhuillier gown with lace applique; metallic Jimmy Choo peep toes, her mother's diamond drop earrings and a diamond tennis bracelet completed her elegant bridal look. Her maids looked lovely in summery yellow dresses from BHLDN, and carried colorful versions of Haley's bridal bouquet featuring roses, ranunculus and dahlias with sprigs of rosemary by Birch SF. Riley and and his groomsmen wore trim navy suits with maroon ties and brown shoes, and delicate stephanotis boutonnieres echoed the blooms tucked in Haley's updo.

Stationer Sarah Drake Designs teamed up with Papineau Calligraphy to create a classic stationery suite that prominently featured the dramatic landscape and the event's signature citrus shades. Guests sat around the pool and sought shade beneath white umbrellas while Haley and Riley exchanged their vows. After blackberry margaritas and vodka tonics, everyone sat down for an alfresco supper in the garden; Betty Zlatchin Catering served the meal family style, echoing countless casual dinners. Lush arrangements of seasonal blooms by Birch SF graced each table, and played a romantic counterpoint to graphic La Tavola linens. Double Funk Crunch got everyone out on the dance floor, and though they may have paused for s'mores (the bride's favorite treat) or a slice of cake by Marin-based baker Branching Out, most of the guests didn't leave the dance floor until they turned out the lights!

Luckily for the lovely couple, Jessie Stevens of Simply Jessie Photography captured each gorgeous, glowing moment. Tell me, what's your favorite detail from this backyard celebration?
