With our Southern road trip on my mind and spring getting closer every day, I've been day dreaming about sipping an Arnold Palmer underneath a porch fan. Spike it and I'm sure to while away a whole afternoon!
Spiked Arnold Palmer
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1-1 1/2 oz syrup, to taste
2-3 oz steeped black tea
Combine vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker with ice; shake for 5-10 seconds, then pour into a Collins glass. Top with steeped black tea.
Notes: John is a boozy purist who couldn't (or wouldn't) recommend a sweet tea vodka, so we decided to build this cocktail like a vodka Collins and top it with tea. You could use a full two ounces of vodka, but I like my afternoon sippers a little lighter on the sauce–cheers!
