Bright Blooms

Garden roses, dahlias, peonies, oh my! This gorgeous bouquet just might feature every girls' favorite flower, and the bold colors are irresistible, especially as the weather keeps growing ever warmer!

We had a terrific weekend; there was lots of Indian food on Friday, dominoes and daiquiris made for a perfect Saturday night in and we celebrated my mom's birthday on Sunday, albeit from 3,000 miles of the actual festivities. I also learned that I will never be a devotée of power yoga, and John geared up for arguably the biggest week of the semester-wish him luck! He'll be playing for his first guitar idol, Pepe Romero this Thursday, as well as participating in a master class and several recitals!

Tell me-how was your weekend?

  1. I just picked up a couple of peonie stems this weekend. They're my favorite. I think they are prettiest when they begin to droop.

No love for the power yoga? I've been doing it for over a year now, and it still kills me! But I love it.

Ps - the only thing I don't like about that bouquet is it's not sitting on my coffee table:)

  10. good luck to john! i'm out of the loop.. how is power yoga diff than regular yoga?

  11. Power yoga is supposed to be faster, more fitness focused. My body is loving/hating it, but I felt like every time I was really digging into a pose, it was time for high push up low push up upward facing dog downward facing dog. That's right, no commas in between!

  25. Whilst I generally go for more subtle colour mixes.... sometimes you just need an injection of vibrancy like this!

  36. Catching on blogs, so it's fun to retrospectively think about my weekend now that it's actually Thursday -- yours sounds action-packed!

Mine included: discovering a super-cheap happy hour at a Mediterranean restaurant, accidentally sleeping till noon, avoiding my taxes, indulging in margaritas and fried avocados at Blue Agave, discovering a fun wine bar on the water in Fells Point, and taking a knitting class at Lovely Yarns.

Ah, that was fun reminiscing -- though it's only been a few days ago, the weekend feels like it was eons away!
