a Bridal Punch

Friday, October 1, 2010

Punches have experienced quite a revival in San Francisco, and this lovely Champagne punch by Gourmet was too lovely not to share. Perfect for a weekend brunch with girlfriends, this particular punch features a little Chambord for a special touch.

Champagne Punch

1 cup triple sec
1 cup brandy
1/2 cup Chambord
2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1 quart chilled ginger ale
2 chilled 750-ml bottles dry Champagne

Combine triple sec, brandy, Chambord and pineapple juice in a prep bowl. Chill the mixture, covered, for at least 4 hours or overnight. Combine the triple sec mixture, ginger ale and Champagne in a large punch bowl. Add ice cubes just before serving.
