Marget & Seth

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

After a romantic Parisian engagement, Marget and Seth set to planning a wedding in the bride's hometown. They chose the spectacular Eolia Mansion in Connecticut's Harness State Park for the festivities, and were inspired by the stunning surroundings in each aspect of their big day, starting with charming invitations from Rifle Paper Co.

Marget wore a draped silk-chiffon Romona Keveza gown finished with a beaded crystal sash. Dusty lilac pumps, a simple drop necklace and a stunning horsehair veil from Chaviano Couture completed her romantic bridal look. Her maids selected floor-length black gowns and carried petite versions of the bride's spectacular garden rose bouquet by Hana Floral Designs. Seth chose a grey three-piece suite from Brooks Brothers' Black Fleece collection, and his groomsmen looked equally dapper in their own grey suits.

The couple was married in a garden where the bride played as a child, beneath a chuppah decorated with white garden roses and hydrangeas. After a ceremony officiated by family friends which combined the couple's Methodist and Jewish faiths, the newlyweds dashed out of the rain for portraits in the mansion's stunning portico. During the cocktail hour, beer and corndogs were elegantly plated by A Thyme to Cook, and guests sipped the couple's signature cocktail, a mint julep. After a family-style dinner, the whole group gathered on the dance floor to celebrate the new Mr and Mrs in the glow of a perfect summer evening.

I'm absolutely gaga for these gorgeous images by Katie Stoops, but I'm dying to know which detail is your favorite! Tell me, are you wild about that bouquet, smitten with the black and white striped cocktail tables, or charmed by that swiss dot confection?

  4. I've always loved Marget and Seth's wedding, especially her gorgeous bouquet! She is just as lovely in person as she seems in these pictures--she's Emily at SW's sister-in-law! :)
