Laura & Hywel

Lying in bed one Saturday morning, Laura asked Hywel, "What shall we do today?" He replied, "Shall we get engaged?" and this London wedding are the lovely results of their courtship.

Laura and Hywel met when she moved to London for work, and this transatlantic pair quickly fell in love. So when they decided to get married, they planned a London celebration just as quickly. Laura and Hywel approached wedding planning as a partnership, drawing on one another's strengths to execute an intimate celebration at One Marylebone.

Laura wore Vera Wang's "Evelyn", an ivory silk crepe gown with a single shoulder strap, and a pair of L.K.Bennett slingbacks. Makeup artists Roseanna Velin put up her hair in a simple French twist, and Laura finished her modern bridal look with a pair of dainty Elsa Peretti gold earrings. Hywel chose a grey suit from Canali, a crisp Thomas Pink white shirt and classic Tiffany & Co cufflinks.

Laura and her father walked down the aisle to "Here Comes the Sun", and her grandfather, a federal judge, officiated the ceremony. After exchanging their own vows, the newlyweds nearly floated back down the aisle to Steve Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered." Florist Hayford & Rhodes filled the classic gallery space with green and white blooms to highlight the elegant architecture. Inspired by their own dinner parties, the couple and their caterer, Seasoned Events, created a spring menu served family style. Small cork-topped bottles of Welsh whisky served as place cards, and carefully selected wines and beers were chosen to reflect the couple's backgrounds. After dinner, guests got down on the dance floor with Wedding Smashers, and the newlyweds were still dancing as they said goodnight to Caught The Light, their fantastic photographers.

I'm partial to the gorgeous spring blooms, but I'm dying to know – what's your favorite image or detail from this London celebration?
