In honor of this weekend's groom, who adores gin, I'm serving up a blushing Lillet cocktail that packs a gentle punch. I hope you'll join me in toasting the happy couple!
Lillet Blush
2 oz Lillet Rosé
1 oz gin
1/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
egg white
In a shaker, combine Lillet Rosé, gin, lemon juice, bitters and the white from one egg; shake vigorously without ice for 10-15 seconds. Add ice, then shake vigorously for an additional 5-10 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Notes: Lillet Rosé is a charming cocktail ingredient that I like just as much over ice, with a spritz of soda or all on its own. I'd pair it with an easy-going gin like Plymouth in this cocktail–cheers!
