Katy & Eddie

Katy and Eddie decided to tie the knot in an elegant seaside setting in Westbrook, CT; The Talcott House, a charming bed & breakfast, proved to be the perfect location for the garden fête. With help from Piece of Cake Events, the couple crafted an event that was as classic as it was relaxed, starting with a calligraphy invitation from The Papery.

Katy wore a romantic lace and tulle Reem Acra gown with a beaded belt, crystal hair clip and glittering floral earrings. Classic Jimmy Choo peep toes Mary Janes, a Chapel-length veil and a  bouquet of Festiva Maxima peonies from Azalea Floral Design completed her bridal look. Eddie chose a classic three-piece black suit, while the couple's attendants wore gray–the maids in silk chiffon J.Crew dresses, the gents in gray suits.

The couple exchanged their vows in the garden of The Talcott House beneath a peony and garden rose-covered arch. After cocktails on the lawn, the newlyweds and their guests gathered beneath the classic Sperry Tent for a sumptuous summer supper catered by Culinary Concepts. Bright blooms arranged by Azalea Floral Design dotted the tables, a combination of rounds with fresh white linens and long wooden farm tables with Ikat runners. After a slice of their four-tiered coconut cake and a final spin on the dance floor, the new Mr and Mrs headed off to their honeymoon with stars in their eyes.

Many, many thanks to the talented Tanya Salazar for sharing these gorgeous images with me; I simply cannot say no to lush blooms, beautiful brides and one spectacular summer day!

  9. OMG, the flower girl! She is such a cutie! Well, I'm not exactly sure if she's the flower girl, since I don't see any flowers, but she's adorable all the same!
