Eve & Nicolas

The rooftop terrace of the Gramercy Park Hotel is an ideal location for an intimate wedding, and when Eve and Nicolas decided to tie the knot, there was no other venue that would do for their garden-inspired fête. Hand-drawn invitations by Paperfinger set the stage for this classic Big Apple celebration that combined sophistication with simplicity.

Eve wore a full-skirted gown by Amsale and a pair of silver Jimmy Choo peep toes. Pearl earrings, her great-grandmother's Art Deco diamond bracelet, a simple veil and a pink and white bouquet of peonies, roses and ranunculus by Rachel Cho Floral Design completed her look. Nicolas wore a black suit and slim black tie from Mohan's Custom Tailors with a white ranunculus boutonniere.

After exchanging their vows beneath a huppah built by the groom and the bride's grandfather in a ceremony officiated by one of their closest friends, the couple's nearest and dearest enjoyed a brunch-inspired cocktail hour; egg and cheese crostini, fresh toast bites and mimosas, bellinis and Blood Marys were served. The couple sat at The Museum of Natural History table, a nod to the New York landmark where they'd gotten engaged, and each table was graced by lush arrangements of pink and white flowers from Rachel Cho Floral Design illuminated by tea lights and fresh white linens. The Juilliard Jazz Ensemble played standards while the newlyweds cut into their three-tiered confection by A Simple Cake, and after the last glass of Champagne had been drunk, the new Mr and Mrs sealed their new marriage with another kiss.

Many thanks to Kelly Kollar for sharing these stunning images; I just love a simple classic like this wedding! Tell me, what's your favorite detail from Nicolas and Eve's big day?
