Neely & Rob

Weddings are an amazing opportunity for a couple to get creative, but when the new Mrs is a photographer and designer, you can be sure she'll be adding her own beautiful touches to the big day. Tennessee's Front Porch Farms was the perfect place for Neely and Rob, who first met in a Nashville bar, to tie the knot in a thoughtful celebration.

Neely wore a lace Lela Rose gown fittingly called "The Farm"; pearl studs and bracelets, chiffon flowers in her soft updo by Amanda Gros and a fingertip length veil completed her classic look, while flat mint sandals were perfect for walking the Farms' 32 acres. She carried a fresh white and green bouquet full of olive branches by Jaclyn Journey, while her maids, in blush silk chiffon J.Crew dresses, carried smaller versions. Rob and his groomsmen chose navy suits from J.Crew, paired with gingham shirts and slim navy ties.

Starting with a modern navy suite by designers Perky Bros, each detail of Neely and Rob's wedding day was carefully considered with simplicity in mind. After a ceremony on the front lawn beneath an oak tree, the newlyweds joined their guests for cocktails, lawn games and hors d'oeuvres by the pool. The open-air reception pavilion was set with long farm-style tables; burlap runners and garlands of olive branches and white flowers by Jaclyn Journey were equal parts rustic and romantic. After a Southern supper and slices of wedding cake by The Chef’s Market, The Downtown Band's best covers got the couple's dearest and dearest on the dance floor. Neely and Rob enjoyed one last glass of Champagne before saying goodnight to their guests, and they set out on their honeymoon to celebrate the start of their life as husband and wife.

Many thanks to Brooke Boling for sharing these gorgeous images with me; tell me, do you have a favorite detail from Neely and Rob's big day?

  8. The food was clearly fantastic, we were at the location for vows for over three hours, and some of the guests were before that too. I had a salad with added shrimp and absolutely loved it!
