When John and I first moved in together, he was all black ceramic plates and platform beds, while I lugged boxes of romantic American novels, delicate dinnerware and white-washed vintage furniture into our apartment. Newlyweds Catherine and Brendon learned to blend their personal styles just as we have, and their intimate Midtown Manhattan wedding was an elegant reflection of both the bride and groom's aesthetic.
The bride wore Catherine Deane's delicate Elysium gown with a metallic sash, dogwood hairpins from Paris by Debra Moreland and teal Badgley Mischka peep toes; a rose, anemone and calla lily bouquet by Angelica Flowers and Events and a dove gray fur coat completed her sophisticated wedding day look. Catherine's matron of honor donned an aubergine silk chiffon J.Crew dress while her groom looked handsome in a slim Theory suit and plaid tie.
Many thanks to the talented Bia Sampaio for sharing these beautiful images with me–I'm just such a sucker for a classic fête! Tell me, what's your favorite detail or photo from Catherine and Brendon's big day?
