Tequila and bubbly–two of my favorite weekend words!


Desert Shrub 

1 oz reposado tequila 
1/2 oz grapefruit-sage syrup
Prosecco
Candied grapefruit

In a flute, combine tequila and grapefruit syrup. Top with chilled Prosecco and garnish with candied grapefruit.

Notes: This cocktail's grapefruit-sage syrup does require some advanced prep, but it's an absolutely heavenly fall addition. I think the Desert Shrub would be perfect for a big Sunday brunch (Mexican themed, perhaps?), or a Saturday night in–cheers!

  3. this sounds so good! I made a grapefruit/gin cocktail over summer that was to die for, and now every nite when I clean my face with my neutrogena grapefruit wipes I want a cocktail. ;)
