Andrea and John

Andrea and John wanted the feel of a destination wedding close to home–and Ojai was the perfect place to spend a weekend celebrating with friends and family. With the help of the talented team at Bash, Please, the soon-to-be-weds planned a stunning fall fête, starting with a welcome BBQ at Ojai Valley Inn's Big Red Barn on Friday night that gave everyone an opportunity to mix and mingle before Saturday's big event at Twin Peaks Ranch.

Andrea spent the morning of her wedding in a lace robe–a fitting prelude to her a romantic Vera Wang mermaid gown, paired with a simple fingertip length veil and a beaded barrette. John looked devastatingly dapper in a Ralph Lauren tuxedo.

The bride walked down the aisle to the melodious strains of a local string quartet, and the couple exchanged their own vows in a ceremony officiated by one of their former roommates beneath a rustic birch chuppah and a canopy of trees. Cocktail hour featured a blue grass band, The Get Down Boys, craft cocktails from Pharmacie and a ceviche bar and passed hors d'oeuvres from Heirloom LA. Farm tables set with La Tavola taupe linens and gorgeous oxblood and gold floral arrangements from Bash, Please were the perfect setting for a family style supper, including chicken & waffles with a blueberry compote and sweet corn agnolotti with truffle butter. After dinner, wedding cake from Cake Monkey Bakery and sweets from Knead Baking Company, the new Mr and Mrs and their guests danced under the stars, then departed under a shower of sparklers in a vintage car.

A thousand thank you's to the talented Tec Petaja for sharing his spectacular images with me; Andrea and John were thrilled to have him capture their big day, and I can only imagine how they felt when they first saw these photographs! Tell me, do you have a favorite image from this beautiful celebration?
