Monte Carlo

Summer calls for tequila and gin, but fall is the perfect time to pull out your bottles of bourbon and rye. I love this classic cocktail with an ever-so-slightly over-ripened slice of peach, and of course, the company of my handsome sweetheart!

Monte Carlo

2 oz rye whiskey
.5 oz Benedictine
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Combine rye, Benedictine and bitters in a mixing glass, stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.

Notes: Benedictine is quite sweet, so it pairs beautifully with the spicy notes of rye–Rittenhouse, Mitcher's, Bulleit and High West are all favorites at our house. Happy weekend, and cheers!

  1. Cheers to a beautiful fall weekend~

    always, koru kate

  2. Such an elegant little glass. Cheers to the weekend!

  3. I can't even remember the last time I had a drink, but I'm celebrating my birthday this weekend, and I think I'll indulge. :)

  4. oh, this sounds great. I just had to pin it!
