Raspberries and roses–what more could a girl want?

Raspberry Rose Fizz

1 1/2 oz gin
3/4 oz framboise liqueur
3/4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz raspberry syrup
3 drops rosewater
1 egg white
soda

Combine gin, framboise liqueur, lemon juice, raspberry syrup, rose water and egg white in a shaker; shake vigorously without ice for 10-15 seconds. Add ice and shake for 5 additional seconds. Strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice, top with soda and garnish with a rose petal.

Notes: Raspberry liqueur is one of my favorite indulgences; right now I'm partial to St George's Aqua Perfecta, but Clear Creek's framboise is divine and Mathilde is readily available. If your local liquor store doesn't carry Royal Rose's raspberry syrup, you can make your own–simply bring 1 cup of raspberries and a 1/2 cup each of water and sugar to a boil, then cool. Cheers!

    7. I'm a little thrown by the egg white, but I have an open mind! This is one of the prettiest drinks I've ever seen. Sounds yummy too.
