From the moment guests received the handdrawn invitation suite by Ruby the Fox Papers + Events finished with a Gregory Peck stamp, they knew they were in for one gorgeous celebration. The festivities started with a Friday night welcome party at the rooftop bar of the Georgia Theatre, where Audrey and Michael introduced their Northern guests to Southern traditions–like pimento cheese–and continued until early Sunday morning!

The bride wore a gauzy Vera Wang gown paired with sparkling Jimmy Choo sandals and pearl jewelry, and her hair was pulled into a romantic half updo by Jordan Byers. Bridesmaids wore slate-colored silk chiffon dresses from J.Crew–perfect compliments to the organic green and white bouquets by Gardenia Floral Design–while the groom and his pals looked dapper in black tie.

The newlyweds were married in the Cecil B. Day Chapel at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens, Georgia–the intimate setting was perfect for this pair. Self-proclaimed history dorks, Audrey and Michael were delighted to hold their cocktail hour and reception at the Taylor-Grady House, home of Henry Grady, an orator and journalist who helped reintegrate the South into the Union after the Civil War. Tracey Daniels Hickey of Consultants Unlimited helped the couple plan a celebration worthy of the historic home, and Hallie Jane’s Catering provided a giant paella for guests to feast on. Audrey and Michael skipped the other treats and served a full cake bar by Cecilia Villaveces Cakes, including strawberry shortcake, carrot and Spanish lemon, and when guests weren't enjoying slices of red velvet, they were dancing with the Flavor Big Band. After a day of ear-to-ear grins and joyful tears, beautifully captured by Ali Harper Photography, the newlyweds bid their friends and family adieu under a shower of white rose petals.

Tell me, what's your favorite Ali Harper image? I love all the portraits, but that last frame is irresistible!
