Alexandra and Cooper

Alexandra and Cooper are high school sweethearts, world travelers and with the help of family and friends, throw one gorgeous wedding!

The couple planned a week-long destination wedding 8,000 miles away from their home in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; it wasn't easy, but tying the knot in the groom's hometown meant that his mom could act as coordinator, event designer and point-person on all things wedding! After casual dinners, family lunches, a bridal shower, welcome barbeque and an elegant rehearsal dinner, the pair was finally ready to exchange their vows at the High Star Ranch.

Allie wore a delicate Lela Rose gown with Michael Kors shoes and the groom's grandmother's vintage jewelry; she carried a posy of white tulips and hypericum berries by florist Karen Buresh down the aisle, as the Park City evening grew chilly, she threw a cognac leather jacket over her dress. Her bridesmaids wore mismatched ivory dresses, and the groom wore a handmade three-piece suit from Cao Minh’s Made to Measure in Saigon.

The pair were married by a family friend, who spent hours crafting a deeply personal ceremony,  beneath an beribboned oak tree on the property's lawn. The day reflect the couple's unfussy, organic style, from a family style meal by Culinary Crafts to the wine list, hand selected by the bride's mother, and linens stitched by her grandmother. And capturing each moment of this heartfelt day was Erin Kate Photography, whose images are so light-filled and gorgeous I feel like I'm on Cloud Nine looking through them!

Tell me, what's your favorite detail from this dreamy celebration?

  11. I love the elegant simplicity of this wedding. Every wedding you post is my kind of wedding. I'm not into the over the top whimsical. I do love a classic wedding with modern details and personalized touches. This one is no different. Want to open an AFB & Co. branch in San Fran? :-) xo

  12. The dress is so lovely. I normally don't see that kind of design on a wedding gown, but I think that's what makes it so special.
