Mary and Nicholas

I've never visited the New Orleans Museum of Art, but this wedding certainly makes me anxious to attend an event there! Michele and Brittany Adams of Unique Weddings in New Orleans helped this couple plan a classic celebration that reflected their style and highlighted the stunning venue, starting with a letterpressed invitation featuring the tree beneath which these two tied the knot.

Mary wore a spectacular Vera Wang gown paired with Jimmy Choo wedges while her maid of honor looked chic in an ivory one-shouldered column with a black sash, and they both looked naturally stunning thanks to Tia Reagan of Freebird Productions. After their romantic first look, Nicholas and his bride rode together to the museum in a vintage Rolls Royce.

In front of a pair of matched urns filled with green and white roses, ranunculus and hydrangeas by Perfect Presentations Florals and Event Design, the couple exchanged their wedding vows before mingling with guests during the cocktail hour on the lawn. Joel catered the sumptuous dinner inside the museum followed by a buttercream swiss dot cake topped with hydrangeas from Haydel’s Bakery. The newlyweds surprised their guests with a visit from the Roman Candy Man for homemade taffy and Crescent City Soul had all the guests dancing until a spectacular sparkler exit!

An enormous thank you to the tremendously talented Tanja Lippert for sharing her stunning images; there's nothing like dreamy photos to make your Wednesday a little lovelier! Tell me, what's your favorite shot from this beautiful celebration?

  5. New Orleans Museum of Art is a great place to have a wedding or any function really. But then again New Orleans in general just has an old world glamor about it. Every wedding I have ever been to in NOLA has some of the best pictures come out of it. I just wish they wouldn't ask me to second line down bourbon street in my heels. Such a pain. ;)
