Rachel and Zac

Inspired by The Great Gatsby and gorgeous English gardens, Rachel and Zac decided to tie the knot at her parents home in Vermont, where the setting was perfect for an elegant, comfortable celebration.

The bride wore a striking Douglas Hannant blue and white gown paired with royal blue Manolo Blahnik peep toe sandals and diamond and sapphire jewelry. Her bridesmaids wore J.Crew dresses in shades of blue and dove gray, and Zac wore a custom suit by Q. James bespoke with a Lord Willy’s tie and pocket square.

The weather was perfect for the pair's ceremony on the lawn; Flowers in Season worked with event coordinator Belinda Norris Events to create the hydrangea-covered altar where the newlyweds exchanged their vows. Guests mingled around the pool before dinner and dancing beneath an architectural clear-top tent from Vermont Tent, where boxwood topiaries by Flowers in Season brought the outside in. Menus by Swiss Cottage Designs embossed with an architectural detail from the property sat atop vividly embroidered linens from Tabletoppers and announced the details of Let’s Pretend Catering's sumptuous feast. Just before cutting into Irene’s Cakes by Design's gorgeous confection, the bride changed into a feathered Lela Rose number that was designed for dancing the night away.

  1. OMG, where do I begin? If that dress doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will. Then there are those clever floating centerpieces in the pool, brilliant! And let's not forget the topiary cake. I think that may be my favorite cake ever! Amazing wedding!
