There's a lot to love about this wedding–that gorgeous convertible gown, the perfectly simple tablescapes and those amazing portraits, for starters–but what caught my attention were the photos of the couple getting ready. Lately I've noticed brides and grooms dressing together for their big day; it's not a convential choice, but I'm absolutely wild about it.

Do you think you'd let your sweetheart zip you into your wedding gown, or do you dream about sharing that moment with your Mama and your best girlfriends?

  2. Hmm I'm iffy on the idea of primping together. It would take the fun out of the big reveal, even if you do first looks! Also I'm truly, madly, deeply in love with her dress - just beautiful!

  4. My friend got ready with her Groom for their wedding & it worked perfectly for them. My hubs & I each got ready with our favorite people & we saw each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle. It depends on the couple!

  5. THAT DRESS!! I can barely pull myself away from staring at that dress to admit that I'm a little too traditional to love the idea of getting dressed for the big day with my guy, just because then he'd see me, but in theory I really love the idea. :)

  6. I love the idea! The day's about you two as a couple - I think it would be so sweet to get ready with him (and maybe calm both your nerves with a glass of whiskey or two) and go out together to celebrate the day!

  8. I'm with Gloria on this one. I don't think getting ready together is a terrible idea, it's just that it would take the fun out of the surprise! I think I'm old-fashioned in that way.
