It took the Hamptons to bring this pair together, even though Luke and Blair had dozens of friends in common, had attended the same events for years and attended nearby colleges. After an intimate proposal and an engagement party of the Soho Grand Hotel, these lovebirds, with the help of Easton Events, planned a Southern celebration at the bride's parents' home. Red and white invitations from Rock Paper Scissors with calligraphy by Kendall Rose only hinted at the gorgeous wedding to come!
Blair found her Oscar de la Renta gown and veil at Saks Fifth Avenue; paired with Valentino peep toes and a blush pink peony bouquet by Rod Meek, she made a gorgeous bride. Her bridesmaids wore ruffled raspberry cocktail dresses by Ciarla and petal pink shrugs, while Luke and his groomsmen wore classic black tie.
The bride arrived at her parents' home on the morning of her wedding to find that the flowers, all arranging by dear friends from her former Sunday School teacher to a bridesmaid's mother, had been set up on the lawn and in the tent. White flowers on the lawn amplified the beauty of the Tudor estate where the pair exchanged their wedding vows in front of 350 family members and friends.
The red-piped Skyline reception tent featured outrageous blooms in red, fuschia and ballet pink, and the checkboard dance floor Blair's father insisted on. Easton Events created a spectacular space for eating, drinking, dancing and celebrating; after an elegant Southern spread from Avenue Foods, guests enjoyed Magnolia Foods' seven-foot coconut-covered masterpiece. The bride's every birthday cake had been created by the same baker who crafted the alternating chocolate and almond tiers with fresh raspberries served at her wedding.
Despite the divine décor and delicious food, the newlyweds knew guests were just waiting for the band to start; their Atlanta-based band, Mo’Sol had the dance floor packed all night, and photographer Adam Barnes and videographer Meet + Cute Films bravely kept up with the celebration. And under a shower of pink, red and white confetti, the bride, in a short tulle cocktail dress, and her Mister made their exit in an Albemarle Vintage car to start their married life together.
Tell me, could you even pick a favorite detail from this to-die-for fête? I know I couldn't!
