Perfectly smooth buttercream, classic piping and gorgeous sugar flowers–what's not to love about a classic, especially when it's so beautiful?

Do you prefer a traditional confection, or a cake that's more modern?

  1. Both of ours were pretty traditional - no regrets here :)

  2. I like classic cakes if they're simple and elegant, like this one, but it's hard not to fall for some of those completely unique modern ones!

  3. It is easy to fall in love with some of the killer designs that can be made with fondant, but I love a good buttercream. Our cake had a design from the 1920s and I just swoon looking at it. xo

  5. Our wedding cake was modern & classic, if that makes any sense! I just loved it, plus it was delicious.

  8. I'm totally the jerk who likes to eat all the flowers off the cake.

  9. This looks beautiful! I've yet to try a wedding cake that I love though, in terms of taste anyway. I lean towards brownies and cookies in the sweets department, but there's got to be a cake out there that knocks my socks off. Until then I say, a giant brownie is my dream wedding "cake"!
