Catherine and Charles

An enormous paella, a Jenny Packham gown and a wedding that's beyond gorgeous? Well, I thought this was just what we needed on this Wednesday!

When this archaeologist and classical scholar decided to tie the knot, they wanted to create their celebration together, from the DIY invitations to the bride's gown–but they were delighted to have a good friend working for Jennifer Naylor Catering, who saw to the details of their 1920's Moroccan-inspired wedding! The couple fell for the early 20th century Adamson House in Malibu, California, and much like their romance, everything else fell into place naturally.

Catherine's Jenny Packham gown and bolero were actually picked out by the bride and the groom; she accessorized her gorgeous gown with sparkling lilac shoes from Hey Lady and an art deco pendant, while Charlie's classic shawl collar tuxedo was a natural choice for their stylish venue.

The newlyweds were married in front of an enormous oak tree on the property's lower lawn by a close friend of the bride. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and flamenco guitarist Roger Espinoza on the front patio while Jennifer Naylor's team set up the stunning reception. Guests were in awe of the food, including an enormous seafood paella and a three-tiered wedding cake from Crumb Fairy Bakery as well as French macarons and lavender crème brûlée that paid homage to the couple's working summers in Europe. Lucky for the couple (and us!), the bride's college pal and talented photographer Jenny Tenney was able to capture their spectacular celebration to perfection!

Tell me, what's your favorite detail of this Moroccan-inspired fête?
