Georgia and Kevin

I love a classic, and the Big Apple–in the wake of last week's destruction, this formal New York celebration is such a gorgeous way to celebrate the city that never sleeps.

Georgia, a native New Yorker, and Kevin were living in New York when he proposed, and the couple decided to tie the knot close to home. The bride designed the grape, ivory and gold invitations; the formal script and decorative etchings set the tone for the formal fête that was to come!

Georgia was stunning in an elegant Anna Maier Ulla-Maija gown, diamond teardrop earrings, a sparkling hair clip and a Cathedral length veil, while her bridesmaids wore grape Priscilla of Boston gowns and carried spectacular bouquets by Denise Fasanello Floral Design. Kevin wore a slim-cut Hugo Boss tuxedo and a Thomas Pink shirt, while his groomsmen wore classic tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse.

The bride completed her childhood religious education at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, so it was only natural that she would marry there in a traditional Catholic ceremony. After portraits in Central Park with their incredible photographer, Elisabeth Millay, the couple headed to The University Club, a landmark Fifth Avenue building, for their old-world reception. Romantic floral arrangements by Denise Fasanello filled the formal ballroom with tulips, peonies, lilacs, hellebores and spirea, and the sounds of the Charles St. Paul Band lent the celebration a classic feel. Day of coordinator Laura Remmert of Laura Remmert Events made sure everything ran smoothly, while
Tweed Weddings and Elisabeth Millay Photography captured each gorgeous moment to perfection.

A huge thank you for Elisabeth Millay for sharing her stunning photos with me; I'm such a fan of her work, and to say that it's a privilege to feature her images is an understatement!

Tell me, what's your favorite detail or photo? That image of the newlywed's first dance is mine!
