Peaches are still flooding our markets in San Francisco, and as ripe as can be. Since I usually like them hard as rock, these soft, sweet fruits aren't my favorite snack, but they'd be glorious in this Peach Punch, a non-alcoholic tipple that's perfect for a warm autumn afternoon!
Sparkling Peach Punch
2 cups of brewed green tea
4 large, ripe peaches
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
4 cups of ginger ale
Honey or agave nectar to taste
Basil or mint
Peel and pit three peaches; place in a blender with lime juice and puree until smooth. Strain through a sieve if you prefer less pulp. Slice the remaining peach, then combine in pitcher with chilled green tea, peach puree and ginger ale. Add honey or agave to taste, then garnish with basil or mint.
Notes: If you're making this in advance of a ladies lunch or family brunch, combine the green tea and peach puree and refridgerate for up to a day; add ginger ale, peach slices and garnish just before serving. Cheers!
Yummy!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is making my mouth water... I love peaches. :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer my peaches are the firm side too. If its to mushy it just ruins the fruit for me. This recipe sounds heavenly.
ReplyDeleteI've also had peach n the brain this week, with a peach-themed shoot on Weds. This is the perfect way to celebrate!
