A backyard wedding, just like Father of the Bride–really, what could be lovelier than that?
After nine years of dating, Katherine and Nathan decided to marry at the bride's parents' Virginia home, and no one was better equipped to plan this intimate tented celebration than the bride and her mother. Traditional calligraphed invitations from William Arthur made it clear the afternoon wedding would also be an elegant black tie event, but the soon-to-be-weds parents and their friends constructed the arbor under which the two were married, and the riotous peony and rose arrangements in white, pink and red.
Katherine wore a lace Elizabeth Fillmore gown with a feather fascinator and drop earring from Construct Jewelry, while the groom looked dapper in a J.Press suit. The bridesmaids wore Bari Jay gowns in shades of pink, and after dinner by Claire’s at The Depot, danced the night away under a wide white tent from Gibson Rental.
Of course, there'd be nothing to show for this gorgeous evening without the work of Adam Barnes Fine Art Photography; I'm delighted to be able to be share his beautiful photos!
Tell me, what's your favorite detail of this backyard fête?
P.S. Happy Halloween! If you're following me on Instagram, you might catch a peek at my costume this year!
Can't stop looking at those flowers!!! That bouquet is something out of a dream!!!
ReplyDeleteAll details are favorite but as usual what strikes more are the expressions caught by the photographers. Did you noticed that these people - the family, the friends, the guests - love each other so much? It's clear in their eyes how much fun they're having and how much happiness floods the event.
ReplyDeleteThat's a HIT for me.
Thank you for sharing!
P.S. tomorrow I'll have a lunch for All Saints' Day and was fretting over one tablescape detail - the center: flowers, candles what? I think I'll take inspiration from that lantern you posted :happydance:
First I fell for those flowers and that gown, and Adam Barnes' gorgeous photography...and then I shrieked when I realized that this stunning wedding took place in my hometown of Warrenton, VA! :)
