While I adore a good detail, my favorite weddings don't always include a clever seating chart, a charming theme or piles of DIY projects–but they've always got a couple in love, a beautiful gown, and the start of a new married life.

Stephanie and Oji wanted a Great Gatsby-inspired wedding, and worked with Heather of Events by Heather Ham to help plan their classic celebration in shades of silver and white at The Boddy House at Descanso Gardens. The bride wore a tiered Vera Wang confection with silver Jimmy Choo sandals and a simple diamond pendant, and her groom sported a classic black tuxedo and bow tie.

The pair was married on the lawn beneath an architectural arbor by Rabbi Arthur Rosenburg, then hosted a cocktail hour at the front of the Hollywood Regency home. Guests soon discovered that the backyard had been transformed by the team from Events by Heather Ham, and the soulful strains of Barbara Morrison and her jazz band. The bride's cream colored bouquet of garden roses, hydrangeas and lisianthus peppered with dusty miller were mirrored in the arrangements carefully placed in silver bowls and julep cups on each table by Peony & Plum, and guests were delighted by the extensive bar in the formal living room. After rib-eye or halibut from caterer Patina Group, it was hard to resist indulging at the dessert buffet featuring treats from Frosted Cupcakery, and if they hadn't had enough sweets, guests took home a box of See's Candies

A standing ovation for Picotte Weddings, who was generous enough to share these stunning photographs, and without whom we wouldn't be able to indulge in the loveliness of this celebration!
