There are few things more delicious, especially in the summer, than a perfectly proportioned daiquiri, with its equal parts sweet and tart. Hemingway loved his frozen, and I'd hazard to guess we'd all like one, too!
Daiquiri No. 1
2 oz rum
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
3/4 oz syrup
Combine ingredients in a blender with one cup of ice; blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
Notes: While a daiquiri up demands delicious rum, something blended and frozen can make do with a lower quality spirit–no need to break out your best booze for this cocktail. Cheers!
One of my very favorite summer drinks- cheers!
