Kelly and John

I'm partial to weddings that stand the test of time, weddings that look as lovely and fresh in 50 years as they do now, like this beautiful celebration. A joyful bride, a gleeful walk down the aisle, brand new rings, maybe even a spin on the dance floor–these are the things I come back to every time.

Kelly and John married on a warm October day at the Woodbery Forest School, the groom's youthful alma mater. The bride wore a Jenny Yoo gown, her mother's lace-trimmed veil and heirloom jewelry, and her bridesmaids wore sweetheart cocktail dresses in the wedding's signature shade of pink. John and his groomsmen wore classic black suits paired with pink polka dot ties, and their ivory boutonnieres matched the full bouquets of garden roses, dahlias and hypericum berries by Pat's Floral Designs. After a traditional ceremony, guests joined the newlyweds at their family farm and historic estate (really need to get one of those!) for a reception on the grounds, planned and styled by Shindig Weddings and Events. Kelly's family arranged flowers for the altar and reception tables in vintage family stoneware, and her aunt designed and created their wedding cake. Beggars Banquet served an elegant Southern meal, and the seven-piece Winn Brothers Band provided the perfect soundtrack. Elisa of Elisa B Photography captured most of this couple's beautiful celebration on film, and was generous enough to share her gorgeous images with me–thank you, Elisa!

Tell me, what's your favorite detail? I just adore those heart hang tags instead of place cards!
