When a talented graphic designer marries her best friend in a town as vibrant and festive as New Orleans, you can be sure the results will be spectacular; Maria and Michael's wedding almost doesn't do the word justice!

The pair wanted their friends and families to experience the very best of New Orleans, from the food to the music and even the cocktails–it's no surprise I adore this wedding. The bride, who owns Tupelo Honey Designs, created all the paper products, from the hand-illustrated invitation suite to calligraphed kraft menus and question journals for each table, inspired by a Martha Stewart Weddings DIY project.

Maria chose a short lace dress from Romona Keveza, purchased at New Orleans' Wedding Belles, paired with J.Crew peep toes adorned with matching brooches. She encouraged her bridesmaids to choose green dresses and purple shoes in any shade or styled they liked, then found a spectrum of green ties for the groomsmen to wear with their Tommy Hilfiger suits. Lush bouquets and boutonnieres sprinkled with white roses, thistles and red ilex berries were designed by Rhonda Cooper at Whole Foods, who also created the understated centerpieces.

After a traditional ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi, guests took part in a traditional 2nd line parade through the streets of New Orleans, waving carefully curated vintage hankies selected for each guest. Then it was on to dinner at Antoine's Restaurant, a N'awlins establishment since 1840, for French-Creole fair and cupcakes by Janelle Gaudin at Treats & Prizes. And behind the camera for each joyful moment was the gifted Austin Gros, whose gorgeous images have certainly inspired me today!

Bottle of champagne awaited me and them we awaited Larry who showed up way after the bottle was opened and I crashed. Fun Fun weekend.
