A beautiful Quebec City elopement photographed by the enormously talented Davina + Daniel. I'm not sure anything could be more romantic than spending the day with the person you love the most, sharing vows that only the two of you, your officiant, and your violinist will ever hear.

Do you get caught up in the romance of intimate elopements, or love the family heritage of a traditional wedding? You know I love both!

  1. Positively classy, elegant wedding. I love her dress. Nontraditional and chic (and she definitely has the body to pull it off!).

  2. I am head over heel with this wedding. It is so classy and sophisticated and Ivan especially fond of the fact it is only both of them. While I love the traditional bug wedding, this us more my style.

  16. I would have loved to elope, but my family would have been so sad...so I'm glad for their sakes we didn't. Sounds wonderful though. :)

  17. Such sweet photos.

Elopement vs traditional is a decision in each couple's hands. Whichever they choose, I feel the best choice is one that is true to them and still honors the ones they love.

It looks like the couple above had a beautiful day, and it was captured perfectly.

  19. How terribly romantic! And Quebec looks like such a great venue. I'd like to elope and then do a fun reception to celebrate after a month or so of being secretly married! haha

  25. Holy smokes. I don't know how to say it politely, but holy cow that butt.

On the politer (?) side, eloping is looking more and more like the route I want to take. 1) my parents are sooooooo not into the 'traditional' wedding thing 2) my boyfriend's family is way too big to possibly be fair to everyone and 3) I love the idea of going away and coming back married. These pictures are only enforcing the idea in my mind!

  29. Proper Husband and I did a spin off of a traditional wedding. Outside, no church, nondenominational officiant. It was relaxed pomp. Just right for us. By the way, her dress is ridonkulously awesome.

  31. Davina and Daniel are just brilliant! That champagne satin dress is to die for (and surely incredibly hard to look so good in!) and I adore the location. We went to Quebec City on our honeymoon!
