Lace-Tipped

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

I usually dream about wearing a saucy birdcage veil on my wedding day, but there's something irresistibly romantic about a lace-tipped cathedral veil, don't you agree? Paired with classic Kate Spade pumps, the combination is downright intoxicating to a classicist like me!

How do you identify your personal style, bridal or otherwise?

  1. I think the veil sets the tone for the entire wedding!! In deed a hard decision to make. I have a love veil for my wedding but I often think that the birdcage would have suited me more!! Either way - I love them both!!

  12. I'm totally going with the saucy birdcage veil! But I'm combining it with a handmade vintage lace headband that I'll be making out of my mother's (1970's hideous) veil. I'm really looking forward to that DIY project!

  14. Wow. These are gorgeous...I feel pretty just looking at them! I don't know you...but I see these shoes and think of you for some reason, more so than most of the other shoes you've posted. Or maybe I do you know a little bit! :)

  15. I would have loved a lace veil but since my dress had lace overlay it might have been too much!

  16. My best friend had a birdcage veil...she looked absolutely beautiful, and it was just her style.

But I am definitely a 100% old cathedral, lace tipped veil bride, with a matching lace dress! I'm a bit obsessed with lace, actually :)

  17. thats a tough choice. Both veils would look lovely on you but they are so different. Whichever one you choose will kinda determine the kind of wedding you are going to have.

  18. I love a lace tipped veil... so gorgeous. I covet something like Kate Middleton's silk tulle number (minus the tiara). As for shoes... SUCH a hard decision. I want something classic, with a touch that isn't (if that makes sense at all).

  19. Great shoes! I'd say mine is classic with a modern twist. Like a chic and simple wrap dress paired with very bold, aggressive jewelry. xo style, she wrote

  28. Warning: this is going to be another long comment!
First, umm, STUNNING veil and shoes!! This picture is perfect.
I don't have a bridal style yet, haha, but fun little story...a few weeks ago, I realized I was having the hardest time picking out what to wear in the morning. So I sat down and analyzed my closet compared to the style/look I feel best in, and I gave my personal style a name: classic with cozy and feminine details. No joke, it took me over an hour to nail it down, but since then, I just put my outfits together to fit that style, and I haven't had trouble picking out clothes since! Also, super helpful to keep myself from buying stuff I won't wear.
    Like I said...another long comment :) Hope you're having a great day!

  29. Oh goodness, did you see the post I did about that Etsy wedding dress? With all the fun tulle and bright colors! But then again I really like classical and then the natural bride, too. . . you know I'm crazy eclectic!

  30. Aw You would look lovely with a birdcage or a lace cathedral veil!

I would say that I am more of a classic/traditional person, but I have gone outside that box...once n awhile!

  31. Here's how I identify my personal style: all over the place. One day hippie, next day americana, next day sweat pants. I guess that means hot mess.

  32. So pretty! I went for a mantilla actually. I still love it.

PS: I will have to look up that beautiful mermaid song you said you sang!!
