I usually dream about wearing a saucy birdcage veil on my wedding day, but there's something irresistibly romantic about a lace-tipped cathedral veil, don't you agree? Paired with classic Kate Spade pumps, the combination is downright intoxicating to a classicist like me!
How do you identify your personal style, bridal or otherwise?

I think the veil sets the tone for the entire wedding!! In deed a hard decision to make. I have a love veil for my wedding but I often think that the birdcage would have suited me more!! Either way - I love them both!!

my favorite lace tipped veil ive ever seen was chelsea petaja's (tec petaja's wife). her whole outfit was perfection!
ReplyDeleteso gorgeous! i think im going to go with a long veil...not sure about the shoes yet! xoxo jillian:: NOVICA Giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThere is something so wonderfully mysterious about a veil....LOVE those shoes!!
ReplyDeletehi Lena, you are always spotting the best, nicest, sweetest shoes!!! I am afraif I will have to pop over the U.S. to get some Kate Spade shoes!! Adorable!!!
ReplyDeletehope you have a great Thnaksgiving Day:-)))
Such a romantic look. You would look exquisite!
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes, I think my style is more traditional but I would hate to live without a bit of whimsy every now and then:)
ReplyDeleteI am a total lace girl but I think my features are too harsh to carry it off. Lovely pumps!
ReplyDeletethere definitely is something romantic about the idea of it.. gorg...
ReplyDeletei always said i didn't want a veil but lately they just look so classic i might end up changing my mind.

This combo is the very meaning of classic! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally going with the saucy birdcage veil! But I'm combining it with a handmade vintage lace headband that I'll be making out of my mother's (1970's hideous) veil. I'm really looking forward to that DIY project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous shoe/veil shot! It makes me wonder what the dress looked like :-)
ReplyDeleteWow. These are gorgeous...I feel pretty just looking at them! I don't know you...but I see these shoes and think of you for some reason, more so than most of the other shoes you've posted. Or maybe I do you know a little bit! :)
ReplyDeleteI would have loved a lace veil but since my dress had lace overlay it might have been too much!
ReplyDeleteMy best friend had a birdcage veil...she looked absolutely beautiful, and it was just her style.
ReplyDeleteBut I am definitely a 100% old cathedral, lace tipped veil bride, with a matching lace dress! I'm a bit obsessed with lace, actually :)
thats a tough choice. Both veils would look lovely on you but they are so different. Whichever one you choose will kinda determine the kind of wedding you are going to have.
ReplyDeleteI love a lace tipped veil... so gorgeous. I covet something like Kate Middleton's silk tulle number (minus the tiara). As for shoes... SUCH a hard decision. I want something classic, with a touch that isn't (if that makes sense at all).
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes! I'd say mine is classic with a modern twist. Like a chic and simple wrap dress paired with very bold, aggressive jewelry. xo style, she wrote

ReplyDeletemy style all depends on the mood. Most I think it's more vintage/modern.
ReplyDeleteso pretty
ReplyDeletei think my style is more classic with a bohemian twist.
I definitely agree. After seeing the movie a walk to remember I wanted one!
ReplyDeleteI say do both! Why not? Or wear a birdcage for your engagement photos. So cute!
ReplyDeleteCan I just say I cannot WAIT to see your wedding! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWarning: this is going to be another long comment!
ReplyDeleteFirst, umm, STUNNING veil and shoes!! This picture is perfect.
I don't have a bridal style yet, haha, but fun little story...a few weeks ago, I realized I was having the hardest time picking out what to wear in the morning. So I sat down and analyzed my closet compared to the style/look I feel best in, and I gave my personal style a name: classic with cozy and feminine details. No joke, it took me over an hour to nail it down, but since then, I just put my outfits together to fit that style, and I haven't had trouble picking out clothes since! Also, super helpful to keep myself from buying stuff I won't wear.
Like I said...another long comment :) Hope you're having a great day!
what a GORGEOUS shot!!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, did you see the post I did about that Etsy wedding dress? With all the fun tulle and bright colors! But then again I really like classical and then the natural bride, too. . . you know I'm crazy eclectic!
ReplyDeleteAw You would look lovely with a birdcage or a lace cathedral veil!
ReplyDeleteI would say that I am more of a classic/traditional person, but I have gone outside that box...once n awhile!
Classic is forever!
ReplyDeleteHere's how I identify my personal style: all over the place. One day hippie, next day americana, next day sweat pants. I guess that means hot mess.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I went for a mantilla actually. I still love it.

PS: I will have to look up that beautiful mermaid song you said you sang!!
