Hello, all-I hope each of you had an absolutely delicious Thanksgiving and a wonderful long weekend! I wish I could tell you how divine our break was, but the truth is that I spent most of it lying in bed with tissues shoved up my nose. You should have seen the look on John's face when he said, "You look like you!"; it gave new meaning to the word "relief".

Since I don't have a single thing to report except Avoid Getting the Flu, I want to hear what you were up to this weekend–where you went, what you ate, gifts you bought this weekend–let me live vicariously through your holidays, darlings!

  2. Your poor thing, dealing with the flu is absolutely horrendous, made even worse by suffering through a holiday long weekend. May your nose find a little relief this week! :)

  6. So sorry to hear you're sick! I've been a bit sniffly myself, but luckily it isn't severe enough to warrant all-day bed rest (although I've been doing a lot of that, anyway!).

  7. feel better soon. Thanksgiving for me always means traveling to south Georgia. We spent Thanksgiving on my hubby's family farm. Always a nice trip.

  9. Awww bummer you weren't feeling well. I had that flu too, so annoying. But our Thanksgiving was wonderful, lots of time relaxing and eating and going on long walks with Matt, the baby and the dog. Doesn't get better than that! xo

  13. Oh man that sucks! I spent the weekend hanging off the couch. It was divine. On Friday I got out of bed at 5pm. And then promptly headed to the couch to watch movies all night. Those were the days.

  15. Aww, sweet girl. My roommate is super sick right now, too. She keeps getting mad at me for making her laugh because she just ends up coughing. I told her I can't help it I'm funny. . . ;)
My break was. . . meh. I came back early to get a head start on all my work this week and I have to go to Memphis tonight for a job interview in the morning. Blegh. Not looking forward to sleeping in a hotel bed, especially after getting scabies in Amsterdam that one time. Hotels give me the heebies.

  20. Oh no! I usually get sick around Christmas. All that anticipation I guess. Feel better soon!

We made the Apple Cobblers for Thanksgiving. Scrounged up some bourbon then forgot the shaker so we used a Nalgene bottle ;) Thanks for the recipe!
