John and I knocked lots off our to-do lists on Saturday morning and enjoyed brunch at the Sea Breeze Cafe. Don't let it's humble exterior fool you-we think it's the best chipotle benedict in San Francisco, and have dragged countless skeptics in to prove our point! By now it wouldn't be a weekend without tacos, and we had ours while watching (or waiting, since rain delayed kickoff until 12:30am!) Tulsa play Oklahoma State on Saturday night. We also booked our tickets for their game against SMU Halloween weekend, and I'm so excited to see my very first college football game live. I'm sure the me of four years ago is shuddering.
Sunday was equally productive, and I braced myself for a busy, busy week at work by stocking the fridge with Cava. An early supper and a glass of rosé had us smiling despite the unusually warm San Francisco weather, and we enjoyed documentaries in bed until we both drifted off!
Tell me, what were you up to this weekend?

ReplyDeleteI love homemade favors. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteedible favors are the best especially ones that are made by the couple or their family!
ReplyDeletethat is very cute and love the country look of the jam... Im sure you teenager self must be jumping with joy! ha!
ReplyDeleteI'll take homemade jam, for any reason.
ReplyDeleteHaha....love that you are going to a college game, you'll have a blast. And I'll take homemade jam please! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely. We enjoyed a crisp fall weekend back in Seattle with two nice long dinner at our favorite haunts, watching some of the leaves change, and strolling downtown!
ReplyDeleteI love the jam idea...come from a long line of homemade jam makers :)
ReplyDeleteAnd let me encourage you to secure your OWN helmet for that game. You're brave!! (hero)

Chipotle Benedict sounds amazing! I'm with you, I don't think jars of homemade jam or anything tasty really can go out of style even if it is super trendy. I'd much rather have that than some monogrammed wine glass or something else fitting for my junk drawer.
ReplyDeletefootball signals the start of cooler weather. it also signals the start of ed and i fighting over how much i wish he'd join me in the conversation, INSTEAD of watching football. i kinda hate football. i'm not gonna lie.
ReplyDeleteI hope you love the game! Theyre definitely an experience :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a delightful post! I love hearing about your weekend. And, yes, homemade jam is wonderful!
ReplyDeletemmm that benedict sounds amaz! And the game will be fun!! xo
ReplyDeletewell. thats sounds so nice!
ReplyDeleteI like the jam idea. i think it is very sweet.. and better then a little tube of bubbles, or funky tasting almonds.. bleuck!
I love that place by the way! I have a few places I just love in San fran. It is still the city I'd love to retire in and be sat at a large bay window to watch the fog roll in and out as people pass by.. awwww San Fran!
Sounds like a great weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteJam is definitely a wedding favor I'd love to receive, especially if it was wrapped up as perfectly as this!
ReplyDeleteyour weekends always sound like the stuff of movies. My weekend was busy...I watched enough television for a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds spectacular! And I like the idea of giving away strawberry jam, it's classic and sweet!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely weekend! And that jam looks delish. I did similar things -- spent lots of time with friends and family and ate yummy meals. xo style, she wrote
ReplyDeleteI think jam is such a darling gift. Especially if care is taken with the presentation (I love this one). Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. This week is very busy for me... is it Friday yet?

Oh I love jam favors! And chipotle benedict wo... why oh why do I live on the east coast.
ReplyDeleteyum! i want to make some homemade jam now
ReplyDeleteLove jam, but for me it's raspberry or nothing at all. Love the jar and the little checked tablecloth. Nana used to make jelly and seal the top with paraffin. I distinctly remember the sound of the vacuum release as it lifted off the preserves.
ReplyDeleteI think the jam idea is adorable. I guess I'm less biased because I don't know anything about weddings? I've never had a close friend get married and I don't have any cousins or older sisters or anything so I think everything is pretty cute. haha
ReplyDeleteI have discovered a recent love of chipotle. I've only really been trying it at like Subway on my sandwiches. . . but it's delicious! haha
ENJOY YOUR FIRST COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME! There's nothing like it. OH MY GOSH SO JEALOUS haha
Your Sunday sounds wonderful.
(Do you notice that I might be procrastinating since my comment is so long. . . ? haha)
This weekend I went to a foam party and it was amazing and I almost drown. ;) Oh, and I split my toe. But it was fantastic.
Hi lovely Lena!! So relaxing making jam! Adorable!

Homemade strawberry jam is the best! I've actually never had it homemade, but I know it's the best! Haha.
ReplyDeleteIt's cool that you can open your mind to a football game now. Me? I just can't get into it.
I definitely think sweet and darling, I love homemade jam!
ReplyDeleteI think jam is one of my top 10 favorite things in life. Both the stuff you smear on toast and the lifestyle/mindset ("it's all jam," 'I be jammin'.")
