One surefire was to ensure a smile rather than a grimace over the cool temperatures? Serve hot chocolate with delicious artisan marshmallows-toasted coconut with a lightly spiced Mexican cocoa was truly out of this world!
Are you all mortified that I'm serving cocoa in July? Wishing I would stop bragging about the chilly temps and year-round down comforter usage?
Tell me, heatwave warriors–what's your favorite summertime drink?
Marshmallows by Butter Baked Goods.
I'm not mortified at all. I would love nothing more than a hot cup of cocoa with those delicious looking marshmallows! Could be because in Australia it's actually winter hahaha!

Oh YUM! I love that you embrace your cold summers - I'm very grumpy indeed about ours. I bet those marshmallows would make me feel better!
ReplyDeleteSo, very jealous. I was just complaining about the heat yesterday. It was 97 at 9pm last nite. Ugh!! I'm addicted to anything made with Grey Goose's pear vodka lately. It's so refreshing.. but I also can't get enough iced (unsweet) ginger peach tea.
ReplyDeleteI would love to serve hot cocoa in July, I wish it wasn't 100 here.
ReplyDeleteGosh, you're so lucky! It's SO hot down here in Georgia. I miss SF! I keep forgetting that you're from SF! I used to live in the bay area. That's where I grew up. Miss that bay area breeze!

ReplyDeleteHa. Oh SF weather. Looks delish. My current fav for warm weather is a Simpler Times Lager out of can. Yep that's me. Drinking beer out of can. So not exciting at all. Ha.
ReplyDeletei went to the giants game, sported Uggs and drank hot cocoa. being from the east coast, it was a total culture shock. but at least my hair isnt frizzy from the humidity haha :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to turn up the A/C and sip hot cocoa right now :-)
ReplyDeleteI am not mortified, but rather, jealous of the Texans who got to escape the heat and enjoy it! DH turned to me the other day and asked how hot it got in SF. He barely believed me when I told him!
ReplyDeleteYesterday our air conditioning had a major failure and it was 90 in my house. I can NOT even imagine serving hot cocoa right now! I think I might need to pay a visit.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have some of that! My drink of choice in this heat has been sweet tea with mint! yummie!! Happy Monday doll! xo -Taj
ReplyDeleteI have looked everywhere for marshmallows in the UK and apparently people don't eat them here. So sad because it's my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love cocoa at anytime of the year...and flavored marshmallows? Yummy! However I must say at lunch the other day I ordered ginger tea. They blend two different types of ginger together to make the tea sweet. It was so hot that I asked for a cup of rice and EUREKA...I had iced ginger tea...so refreshing! xoxo
ReplyDeletewow now thats a trip, cocoa in July?! I tend to go for lemonade in the summer preferably spiked with cherry vodka.
ReplyDeleteI was indeed surprised the last two summers when we got to go to SF. I'm not sure how I feel about the weather staying the same temperature but it sure is nice to visit :)
ReplyDeleteIt's burning alive down here and I'm rather ecstatic about it. Pass another boozy ice pop puhleeze. mid-afternoon buzz at the bird

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, could we please get them to host a giveaway? It's raining here and there is nothing I want more than a cup of cocoa with marshmallows and a pho!
ReplyDeleteMarshmallows are one of my FAVORITE sweets and I am so excited to see these gourmet versions! A must try! xo style, she wrote
ReplyDeleteA glass of sauvignon blanc always does it for me!
ReplyDeleteget out! that's crazy! it's hardly ever warm enough for hot chocolate in florida even in the winter ;)
ReplyDeleteHeatwave warrior? You are a killer writer Lena dear. I just giggled while reading this post.
ReplyDeleteSWEET TEA! But that's my all-the-time drink.
ReplyDeleteIce-cold lemonade! Especially on days when it's too hot to bear. But I also have no qualms about drinking hot chocolate during the hot summer days either. That stuff is too good!
ReplyDeleteI was actually thinking of you SF gals when I was in 101 heat in Maine last week! So glad you were able to find a good excuse to serve up some toasty marshmallows and hot chocolate! Is it bad I wish it was that time of year already?
ReplyDeleteThese sound and look delectable. I think I def need to get myself some of these. Delish :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be in San Francisco this weekend! Woo hoo. Now I want some marshmallows :)
ReplyDeleteI don't wanna hear about it, lady. does it stay the same temp 365 days a year in San Fran?
ReplyDeleteOh, I so love the weather in San Francisco! I think it is wonderful that you are serving cocoa in July, you have to work with what you have!
ReplyDeleteOne ticket to San Fran, please! I hope that you and John like to cuddle :)
ReplyDeleteWATER! lol and slurpies. no lie I am living at the circle K gulping these cold drinks up while I drive around town. Sure I have slightly red teeth after.. but at least I am not on the floor from the heat!
