Iridescent

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

I was inspired by the 1920s this week, and I think this iridescent pair of peep toes from Christian Louboutin was the perfect "something blue" for a flapper fête!

What's your favorite era?

  3. I feel in love with the 20's after reading a required text for an American History course.

I love these shoes.. and since I'm still sick and stuck on the couch, I might as well shoe shop. :]

  7. Oh man, I would have to go with the 20s also I think. I might be cool with hanging in the 60s too (in San Francisco perhaps). ;)

  18. I think I like the 40's, I can't decide why but perhaps the movie The Notebook has something to do with it. Or Ryan Gosling in suspenders.

  19. I think I might say this about all the shoes you post but these are gorgeous! I love that colour!

I always think I was born in the wrong era, I can't decide which is my favourite but I love so many things about so much of the past.

  22. Ohhh how can you pick a favorite era?! There are so many fab things about all of them. I would be content in the 50's though in a apron with a cocktail in hand.

  23. One word -- drool.

And now that I've regained the ability to think after staring at those AMAZING shoes for 10 minutes, my favorite era is the 1970s. I'm a sucker for wide leg trousers! xo style, she wrote

  24. Girrrl, I'm inspired by the 1920's every week. You saw Midnight in Paris, right? It made me want to troll vintage shops for a shift dress and cut my hair into a bob. (And then move to Paris, naturally).
