Baila Me

Happy Monday, darlings; I hope your weekends were full of raucous laughter, delicious meals and a little dancing!

John and I had quite a busy weekend ourselves; after an office outing to the paintball grounds where I landed more shots than I took (although the hits to my collarbone and the back of the head are still purple!), we had a great friend over for Friday night fish tacos and margaritas. Brioche french toast and fruit was such a perfect Saturday brunch that we repeated it on Sunday, but between our scrumptious breakfasts we had a small dinner party! I made a paella Valencia and John served a beautiful Malbec, but the homemade port syrup we drizzled over Three Twins ice cream was the culinary star of the evening. And as if there weren't enough delicious meals packed into a single weekend, John's Aunt Jenny, her son Walt and an old family friend joined us for a Sunday supper in Hayes Valley's charming Suppenküche-to say I'm still full is an understatement!

Tell me, darlings, how did you while away your weekend? Floating in the pool eating ice pops, or watching the newest Harry Potter in a well air-conditioned theater?

  2. We usually do fish tacos on Friday nites, too. :]

My weekend was sad & boring. I've been a little sick, so I did homework & saw Harry Potter.

I've been craving Paella since I saw Bobby Flay make it on Food Network a couple of weeks ago.
