With our visit to Sonoma's gorgeous vineyards behind us and our beach vacation ahead, I started to wonder what you thought the very dreamiest holiday or honeymoon would be. Do you fantasize about museums, cafés and croissants in European capitals? Scuba diving and sunbathing in the tropics? Summer skiing in the Andes, or safaris and South African Shiraz?
Tell me, what's your very favorite vacation destination?

Sounds like a perfect weekend, darling!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderfully fabulous vacation!!!! I to would love the crystal clear waters of a beach vaca but also the hills of Tuscany seem to always call my name!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, have a fantastic trip, you most certainly deserve some quality relaxation time!
ReplyDeleteI adore the idea of a romantic European vacay and snorkeling in the tropics is one of my favorite travel "must do's" but I would seriously die for the chance to experience a South African Safari -to see nature & wild beasts like that sounds amazing!!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time!!
I'd love to be basking in the sunlight by a beach or frolicking in a field of flowers right now but it's winter in Aus & I'm about to hop into bed & get snuggly & warm!

well i'm a huge fan of cruises. wish I could re-do my honeymoon cruise because it was THAT awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to re-vist St. John. That place is so incredible.
My dream vacations typically include going up to the mountains, staying in a cabin, and doing 'fall' type activities.
But I'm super excited to go to the beach this summer. We actually rented out a beach ON THE beach. It's going to be insane!
Needless to say...I'm counting DOWN! Have fun on your trip!
xoxo, chrissy.
sounds like you had a pretty great weekend. My ideal vacation is heading to some amazing European and just walk around, enjoying all the sights & sounds.
ReplyDeleteyah! so excited for you and john, you'll have a wonderful time :) h and i talk about vacation plans alllll the time! i love looking up hotels or planning our next adventure. right now we are trying to finalize our trip details for spain in september. xoxo jillian:: stop by! i'm hosting a jewelry giveaway
ReplyDeleteTropical, breezy, warm and quiet mixed with cocktails and lazy nights = the perfect vacation for me!
ReplyDeleteso excited for your romantic getaway :) i think my favorite vacations always include beaches and snorkeling.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun time! Hmmm the perfect vaca for me is a cruise to Greece . . . and relaxing on the beach with a cool drink:-)
ReplyDeleteI love a good beach. a warm yet refreshing ocean to bob in, and warm sand for my toesies.
ReplyDeleteHowever a safari does sound pretty BA.
Oh AM so jealous of your trip. I feel like my dream vacation always changes depending on my mood and the season. In the fall I always want to go back east and stay in a cozy B&B, winter: a log cabin with a wood burning fireplace (preferably in the Swiss Alps), and spring and summer I want the beach. I've been wanting to go to Tahiti lately. It looks amazing.

woo hoo, the countdown is on! I'll be thinking of you as I board the plane on Wednesday for sunny DR! It sounds like you've been super busy lately so this vacation could not have come at a better time:) Enjoy every minute.
ReplyDeleteHope you have lots of fun!! At this point just to think about holidays puts a smile on my face... anywhere would be heaven!!!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Enjoy your vacay! :) My ideal vacation involves the beach, toes in the sand, and umbrella drink in hand :)
ReplyDeleteright now I'm thinking the only vacation I want is ALONE.
ReplyDeleteAnd we both leave on Wednesday? Who are you, my virtual twin? (Well, yeah).
ReplyDeleteThe ever-pressing question. Tiho and I have our hearts set on a honeymoon in Fiju/Bora Bora, though I think we need to win the lottery first. Maybe Spain? Gorgeous beaches AND the culture of a city? I wish I could see the entire world!
That looks so peaceful! I have Greece on the mind for the next *dream* vacation... with some pit-stops along the way, of course :)
ReplyDeleteThe next time you perform you need to tell me so I can go see you!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip!
Wow, it seems like everyone is going on vaca this week, including me :-) We all deserve it!
ReplyDeleteyour vacation sounds like it will be relaxing. I dont really have a favorite spot but I do love Rhode Island. Did you just change your header? Well either way I like it.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I always thought I was more of an adventure-seeker when it came to picking a vacation- choosing backpacking through europe as a top choice. However, after having been on my first beach vaca last year, I am a total convert to relaxing under the sun with a good book & pina colada! ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, my dear!
Museums, cafés and croissants in European capitals sounds divine to me! Where can I sign up? xo style, she wrote
ReplyDeleteAh I hope you'll share a few photos with us. Lots of ceviche to be had.
ReplyDeleteI like a little of both. Some city, some beach. Some chocolate croissants and tropical umbrella drinks!
I hope you have a wonderful vacation dear! I wish I was in your suitcase! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful weekend to jump start the beginning of a magical vacation. For me, anything that will leave me sun kissed and with sand in between my toes is a vacation! Have a wonderful time, darling! Cheers to making memories {and delicious cocktails!} xo Samantha
ReplyDeletethe perfect vacation is laying on a tropical island with nothing to do but read a trashy book, stare at the water and worry about what im going to eat for dinner. heaven!
ReplyDeleteAh, have so much fun, Lena!! Beach getaways are the best. Now I'm dreaming of beaches of faraway lands, like Australia... : )
ReplyDeletemy favorite vacation is costa rica and im dying to go back!
ReplyDeleteWe just had this discussion last night. As much as Kyle and I would LOVE to go to Europe and hang out in cafes, I long for vacations filled with no agenda and the only sight seeing you feel obligated to do involves a beach chair and an ocean view! Plus unlimited free cocktails.
ReplyDeleteNow that my honeymoon is over, I've gotten the Italy itch out of the way. But I wouldn't change that for the world! If I could take another vacation though I'd want to go somewhere different - I've never been south of the equator and I'm starting to think it's time. I'd love to go to Peru! Or New Zealand. My stepsisterinlaw is going on a month long journey to New Zealand/Australia/Fiji in July and I'm so excited for her (she's 17) but I'm also super jealous :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you and your vacation - much needed, definitely!! And I'm envious you were just in Napa/Sonoma.
Lena have a wonderful time!!
ReplyDeleteFor my next honeymoon it would be Paris!!
xoxo
