El Diablo
1 1/2 oz of tequila
1/2 oz of crème de cassis
1/4 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
ginger beer
Combine tequila, crème de cassis and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice; shake for 5-10 seconds. Strain into a glass over ice; fill with ginger beer.
Notes: Ginger ale in the 1940s was a soft drink with real bite; while there's nothing wrong with Schweppes, a spicier ginger beer will give this cocktail a delicious kick.
Whatever tequila you have on hand will be more than appropriate for this cocktail. If you need to add a bottle of tequila to your liquor cabinet, a Reposado tequila (aged for more than 2 months, but less than one year) is a terrific addition!

Go figure ;-) Yet, I just might have to give it a try again...at home of course just to see how I react to it...and of course I will make sure the table is cleared off first ;-))) Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend!
