All the donations to For Japan, With Love will go to ShelterBox, which provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters. ShelterBox is already helping the Japanese recover from this staggering tragedy, giving out their large, green ShelterBoxes. Each is tailored to a particular disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.
In addition to donations, they have started a Bloggers' Day of Silence in honor of the tragedy. My blog and many others will be silent on Friday, March 18th, and I hope you'll join us in this show of support.
If you're interested in participating, contact Lydia {lydia@ever-ours.com} or Lucia {info@utterlyengaged.com} for more information.
Thanks for sharing the info about this amazingly altruistic project.
