the Art of the Bridal Portrait

The bridal portrait, elevated to art. Can you believe how stunning this photo (and bride, of course!) are? Did you do a separate portrait session, or do you plan on donning your gown just once?

  9. That is gorgeous! I'd hang it in my living room.

I wore my dress a few times. I did a trash the dress session the day after my wedding. It survived, so I had a photos done last summer for fun.

  10. Can you do a separate portrait 6 months later?! I've been looking for a good excuse to wear my dress again :)

  15. I think it depends on the wedding, the gown and the bride of course. If you are spending a small fortune on the dress and the rest, I definitely think a formal portrait is imperative. Just think if all that happened and you ended up without a portrait! However if you have a more casual dress and rest and the event is not formal it seems a little extra time during pre or post ceremony will do fine. /the photo you chose for this post is exactly what I am talking about. Dress to kill and I am sure the rest of the event is over the top as well. Portrait was really essential

  21. Sadly I did not. And I actually regret not doing it. I do sneak my dress out every once in a while, to make sure it is still as delicious as it was on my wedding day. I may get them done as a one year anniversary present to me. We'll see.

    This portrait is stunning!
