Tea Time

Friday, January 28, 2011

I know, Friday mornings mean just one thing around here: liquor. But to tell the truth, Friday at 5 looks more like a cup of tea and a teaming Google reader full of gorgeous weddings in my house, and I might imagine yours! Don't get me wrong-I won't turn down a classic daiquiri or a delicious Clover Club, but most Friday nights, I just want to fall into my jammies and take a nap!

So what is the tea I depend on when I'm just short of collapsing? Harney & Sons Paris. First discovered at a coffee shop near our Baltimore apartment (City Café, I miss our Saturday brunch date!), I started buying it directly from the website. Not only is it the perfect blend of black tea, vanilla, caramel and a touch of Bergamot, the charming tea tins make perfect vases!

Tell me, do you have a favorite tea?

  1. Not really. I am more into coffee. Which is a worse habit, I know, but anyway :)
So I mostly drink teas I get as a present. The thing is, I live right next to one of the best tea shops in my entire country, so a lot of people who come to visit me, end up going to this store (it really looks quite nice and inviting from the outside) and then they usually buy something small for me too. So I have managed to get quite a nice collection of teas this way :)

Weird story, but completely true! And it leaves more money for my true passion: coffee, so it works out pretty well :)

  2. Huge tea fans over here! Since hubby is a tea master himself I get to 'test' all the new brews. I love fruity flavors and my current favorite is a black tea with coconut, release date TBD ;)

  3. Ooh, I also lived in Baltimore for a time! We have so much in common!

I always love a hot cup of Twinings Earl Gray. It makes everything better.

Recently, I discovered Yogi Tea's Peach Detox tea. It's also quite yummy.

  4. Ooh! Gorgeous! And yes, the older I get, Friday nights seem more about unwinding and relaxing. A cup of tea is right up my alley. I have so many favorites, but I do love chinese chrysanthemum teas, and basically any teas with floating flowers/petals in them. For iced teas, I love CBTL's Tropical Passion and Swedish Berries!
    Happy Friday Lena!

  5. Beautiful tea cup and love the presentation. I like tea when I am in the mood and I have a variety I like from Harney & Sons, however I've never had this one called Paris and me must try it! Thanks for the suggestion.
