Mr Wonderful was standing behind me as I flipped through one gorgeous wedding after another; when we came on Jenna and Ross' celebration in British Columbia, all he said was, "Wow." And really, that was all I needed.
The stunning location, the
Emerald Lake Lodge in Field, BC, is so breathtakingly beautiful that anything would look better set against it. In Jenna and Ross' case, their gorgeous and thoughtful planning made this an unforgettable event.
The bride wore a knockout "
Torrean" gown by
Watters; her
Lo Boheme blusher veil and
Kate Spade heels completed the whimsical look. Her 'maids wore
J.Crew dresses in an orange sherbet hue, while waiting at the alter was Ross in a gray suit, also by
J.Crew. The girls carried large yellow and peach pinwheels by
Rule 42 down the aisle while Jenna carried a lush bouquet of peonies and roses designed by
Willow Haven Flower Shop. The ceremony path was lined with more colorful pinwheels and pom poms; the Ghost chairs were chosen so that nothing would obstruct the gorgeous view of Mount Burgess. Vintage handkerchiefs were collected and handed out to each guest for their tears of joy, and harpist Deborah Nyjack provided the ceremony music.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne on the patio while they watched two baby bear cubs play across the lake. Bride and groom donned Hunter wellies for portraits, then joined their guests for a lovely meal. A simple cake by the
Buttercream Bake Shoppe was topped with a replica of the newlyweds, constructed by
the Small Object. Guests celebrated the culmination of the week-long wedding celebration with a sparkler send-off, and
Kirstie Tweed of Orange Girl Photographs lovingly captured each moment.
