Real Wedding: Jessica and Jason

Sunday, December 5, 2010

My apologies for getting this absolutely divine wedding to you so late in the evening; it's already dinner time, and I like to post long before lunch! This amazing fête has been dancing in my head all day, but when your sweetheart is working on his finals and his own computer is too ill to keep up, sometimes a girl just has to wait!

A Montreal cake baker, the bride Jessica chose fellow Canadians and talented photography team Davina and Daniel to shot her own wedding. Their chic cocktail party was the perfect way to celebrate in style, and reflected their fun-loving personalities; they were married at the Parisian Laundry, an industrial loft style art gallery that rarely hosts private events. The stunning wall of white paper flowers was actually a project undertaken by the bride, groom and their families, and might be the most beautiful ceremony space I've ever seen.

The bride wore a mermaid gown by Amsale paired with jewelry from Elsa Corsi, a feathered headpiece by Lo Boheme and shoes by Nine West, and changed into a short, ruffled confection by Melissa Gentile for the reception. The groom wore a suit by Phillipe Dubuc, kicks by Jack Purcell for Converse, a candy striped Hugo Boss tie and Paul Smith cufflinks.

Fabulous graphic invitations by Love the Design set the stage for Jessica and Jason's red and white mod celebration, and white daisy bouquets and arrangements designed by SENS Fleuriste provided a dose of playfulness. Wedding coordination by Unity Weddings help Jessica and Jason realize their vision for a Beatles-filled cocktail party and Chez L'Épicier provided the hors d'oeuvres and libations. And of course, Davina + Daniel captured this fashionable celebration perfectly!
